How Soccer Jerseys Are Cut
Replica soccer jerseys are designed with an athletic fit — closer to the body than a regular T-shirt. This is by design: the slim cut keeps the fabric from flapping when you run and gives the jersey its sharp look. If you normally wear looser clothing, or you have a broader chest or shoulders, size up.
The sleeve and torso lengths on most replica jerseys run short to medium, consistent with international football standards. Tall buyers (over 1.85m) may find the torso slightly shorter than a casual shirt — this is normal for the style.
Jersey Size Chart (Chest Measurement)
Measure your chest at its widest point (under the arms, across the shoulder blades). Use the chart below — when you're between sizes, go up.
| Size | Chest (cm) | Chest (inches) | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 86–96 cm | 34–38" | Slim/average build, smaller frame |
| M | 96–106 cm | 38–42" | Average/athletic build |
| L | 106–116 cm | 42–46" | Larger chest, broader shoulders |
| XL | 116–126 cm | 46–50" | Big builds, prefer relaxed athletic fit |
| XXL | 126–136 cm | 50–54" | Extra large / full chest |
Measurements are guidelines. Cut can vary slightly between teams/manufacturers.
Tracksuit Sizing
Tracksuits follow the same size labelling as jerseys but the cut is slightly more relaxed — particularly in the jacket, which has more room across the shoulders. The pants have an elasticated waist, so they're forgiving if you're between sizes on the waist.
If your chest measurement sits in the upper range of a size (e.g., 104 cm for L), the tracksuit jacket will feel more comfortable without sizing up compared to a jersey.
Long Sleeve Jersey Sizing
Long sleeve jerseys use the same chest sizing as standard jerseys. The only additional consideration is sleeve length — if you have a long arm span (over 80 cm from shoulder to wrist), the sleeves may feel slightly shorter than a regular long-sleeve shirt. This is typical of the goalkeeper/training jersey style they're based on.
If you plan to wear a compression base layer underneath, size up to avoid the jersey feeling too tight across the chest.
Quick Tips Before You Order
- 1When between sizes, always go up — jerseys don't stretch much after washing.
- 2If you want a looser, casual look, order one size above your chest measurement.
- 3Kids sizing: children's jerseys (where available) run small — an adult S fits most 12–14 year olds.
